The business known as Deluxe Tax Service was started in January 1995.  I did not know it was going to be a large scale business, so I rented  a small corner room of the local bowling alley in Galesburg, Illinois.  It was a one person office for the first
two years.  In 1998 I hired a second person as a receptionist.  By the year 1999 I realized I had outgrown the little corner office, so I started to look for a bigger place and I moved to the present location and hired two more associates for the 2000 tax year.  

Each year we have grown a little bit more, and at present we employ two full time preparers, and three receptionists/data entry people through the tax season.  During the off season we employ one part time preparer and two receptionists.  

We have a food drive for the local food pantry ever year. I give a 5% discount on the preparation of our clients tax returns if they bring in 5 non-perishable item at the time of their appointment. We have been very fortunate with the food drive and have collected approximately 3000 or more pounds of food a year.
